Adding filters to clips or tracks

VideoCanvas comes with lots of filters for applying various effects such as adjusting colors, cropping, blurring etc. The filters can be applied either to a clip or to a track.

To add a filter:

  1. Track tabClick on Clip or Track depending on if you want to add the filter to just one clip or to the whole track.
  2. Click on the track or clip in the Timeline to select it. It will be displayed in the effects nodes view at the top left of the window.
  3. Find the filter you want to add in the Media Browser and drag it to just below the clip or track icon in the effects node view. See the picture above.
  4. The filter will be added and connected to the source image or movie so that you now see two boxes in the effects node view: One for the clip or track and one for the filter and a line connecting them.
