
Changing font type, style, color, shadow and size
You can use different fonts and change the way they look. Some fonts have special characteristics, such as ligatures and shapes, that you can add.
- To quickly select a commonly used font style, such as Bold, select some text and choose the style from the Styles pop-up menu.
OR use Command + B to toggle between Bold and Plain
Command + I to toggle between Italic and Plain
Command + U to toggle between Underline and Plain
- To change the font type, style, and size, select some text and click on the "Show" button in the Font Panel section of the Button Bar. In the Font panel, select a font and style in the Family and Typeface columns. Select a font size in the Sizes column or use the slider to change font size.
NOTE: Using the Size Slider to change the size of selected text that has more than one size will cause ALL the text to be set to the slider size.
To keep the size relationships of selected text, use "Command +" or "Command -" to change the size of selected text. - To change the font color, select some text and press the Show Color Panel button. Then select a color in the Colors panel.
- If your font has special ligatures (fancy flourishes added between or at the ends of characters), add them by choosing Text > Font > Ligature.
