
Working With Images
Getting images into LightTable
The Tray, at the bottom of the document window, contains all images available within LightTable. Each image is displayed as a thumbnail with the name underneath.
To place images in the Tray, do one of the following:
- Click the Add Images item on the toolbar.
- Select the Tray > Add items To “Tray… menu item on the main menubar.
- Drag the desired image files from a Finder window and drop them on the LightTable Tray.

Limiting the display of items in the tray
Sometimes, you may find it useful to limit the images that are visible in the Tray. To do so, select one of the following options:
- Use the Tray Filter located above the Tray on the right. Images displayed in the Tray will be limited to items with a name containing the text string entered in the Tray Filter search field.
- Use the item visibility buttons on the Tray Controls (to the left above the Tray). The Show Unplaced Items Only button will hide Tray items that have already been placed on the Canvas. To see all items in the Tray, press the Show All Items button.
Other Tray Operations
To see details about the currently selected Tray items, click the Show Info button on the Tray Controls. This will display a pop-up window with additional info about each item you have selected in the Tray. This function may also be accomplished by selecting the Tray > Show Tray Item Info option from the main menubar.
Click the Start Slide Show button to display a standard Mac OS X slide show with the images in your Tray. An alternate way of displaying the slide show is by selecting the Tray > Start Slideshow from Tray Items option on the main menubar.
