iEye Captain interface: Archive Mover & Batch Queue Drawer |
iEye Captain makes it very easy and efficient to manage multiple archive locations. To open the Archive Mover, simply click the "Mover" button at the bottom right of the main window, or select the Tools > Open Archive Mover menu item. While the Archive Mover drawer is open and the "Item" tab is in view, select one or more items in the Schedules or Recordings Pane. If you can only select one at a time, close the Info drawer to enable multiple selections again. Once you are happy with your selections, select a location from the "Move to" popup. If you need to, you can add a storage location by clicking the "Locations" button. Finally, click the "Submit" button to submit these items to the Batch Queue. The items will be added to the Batch Queue, to move in the background while you continue to work. The Batch Queue will open automatically, and you will see your schedules and/or recordings moving one by one. You can continue to work while the Batch Queue moves the items in the background, even adding more items to the queue. At any time you can select items in the queue and click the "Remove" button, or click "Abort" to abort all moves except the one that is currently in progress. If necessary, iEye Captain will restart EyeTV to activate changes when it is safe to do so (i.e. when it is not busy recording or exporting). Until then, you will notice "Refresh needed" in the "Status" column of the Schedules or Recordings Pane. While an item carries this status, you can not make any changes within the Info drawer, and any functions that try to directly access this item will not work. |
