French Verb Conjugator 1.3

Thank you for downloading French Verb Conjugator 1.3. This program conjugates French verbs. It conjugates all regular verbs, and hundreds of irregular verbs (support for reflexive verbs is to be included in later releases). The program is quick and easy to use. The user types in the verb, chooses the tense, and the full conjugation of the verb is displayed, with singular conjugations on the left and plural conjugations on the right.

Instructions

Run Conjugator.exe. At the main program screen, type in your verb in the Verb: prompt. The verb you type can either be in French or in English. The program currently translates over 650 English verbs to French verbs. Note that the version of the verb must be the unconjugated infinitive form without the leading “to”. Then, choose from one of the six available tenses by clicking the button for that tense. The full conjugation of the verb in that tense will be displayed, or an error will be displayed if what you entered either was not a French verb or could not be translated to a French verb. Click the Clear button to clear the verb prompt. If you would like to edit the background color for the main program screen, go to Options>Background Color. Then, adjust the red, green, and blue values to values that you prefer. Click the Ok button to save these changes, or the Cancel button to discard these changes. The settings are saved to a file name “settings.fvb”. Please only edit this file using Conjugator.exe, otherwise you may encounter problems while running the program. If you encounter problems, delete the settings.fvb file. If you still encounter problems, please send the author an email describing your problems. To check if updates for this program have been released, go to Options>Check for Updates. If you are connected to the Internet, the program will check if a new version is released, and will recommend that you download the new version.

Requirements

This program must be used on a Win32 (Windows 2000, ME, XP, etc.) operating system. If this program doesn't run on Windows Vista, please contact the author. You must also have 2Mb of disk space available.

Hotkeys

Hotkeys can also be checked in the program under Help>Hotkeys:

Esc: Quits the program.

Ctrl+P: Conjugates the verb in the prompt in the present tense.

Ctrl+O: Conjugates the verb in the prompt in the past tense.

Ctrl+F: Conjugates the verb in the prompt in the future tense.

Ctrl+I: Conjugates the verb in the prompt in the imperfect tense.

Ctrl+S: Conjugates the verb in the prompt in the subjunctive tense.

Ctrl+C: Conjugates the verb in the prompt in the conditional tense.

Ctrl+Z: Clears the verb prompt.

Ctrl+B: Opens the Edit Background Colors window.

Ctrl+U: Opens the Check for Updates window.
